ABOUT JEFF

I am somewhat new to photography. For the last 25 years or so, I have been a professional classical guitarist and music teacher. I am now supplementing that with photography. When I was a kid, my dad owned and ran his own photography business, so I guess it's in the blood!

I have a doctorate in music from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). Minneapolis-St. Paul, where I live now, has a thriving arts community that is well supported, and I'm happy to be a part of it. Being a musician has brought me close to other types of artists - dancers, photographers, painters, luthiers, graphic designers, and more. It's all interesting to me.

I love working on projects with others. That's probably why portraiture is my favorite type of photography. Contact me and let's create art together!
